North East Texas Cheer Fusion won the Level 2 Small Gym Senior Division of the U.S. Finals Cheer Competition held at the Baton Rouge River Center on Saturday, April 10. For their outstanding efforts, each of the girls received a 1st place medal and a "US Finals Champions" jacket. The team also received a 1st place trophy and banner to be displayed in the gym.

"These ladies have had a terrific season!" stated Coach Lloyd White. "They won the AB Super Nationals in December in Fort Worth and the COA Regional Competition in Hot Springs in February to qualify for the US Finals. They have trained many long, hard hours especially over the last four weeks upgrading their difficulty and perfecting every part of this routine and it really paid off for them. When you get to US Finals, all the teams are top-notch. Every team in our division hit their routine. We were able to come out on top because of the hard work these girls put in to get the maximum difficulty points and still perform an awesome routine."

Also with the win this weekend, a video of Fusion’s performance will be sent to the US Finals main office in Virginia Beach. There an independent team of judges will evaluate all the winning routines from major competitions all over the nation to rank and determine a true National Champion to be announced in late May.

CHEER FUSION won their second competition of the season on January 23 at the Cheer of America Arkansas regionals in Hot Springs.  Morgan Miller also won her division of the Individual Cheer All-Star Competition.
